Beatriz Recari gears up for big battle in France
Spanish Beatriz Recari is more than happy with her performance in the last few tournaments, and she looks set to face rivals in the upcoming battle at the Evian Masters 2012, scheduled to be held from July 26-29, at Evian-les-Bains, France.
Recari appears to be in full confidence, as she has shown in the last event that she can do what wants to do on the course.
Getting off to a good start at the US Women’s Open 2012, a major tournament on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour, helped her boost her confidence and she managed to improve her game.
Analysts said that the field at the Evian Masters 2012 will be strong as usual, with the presence of most of the top-ranked LPGA stars. Defending champion Ai Miyazato will be in the roster, and will seek to grab the title once again.
Moreover, another key player will be Karrie Webb of Australia, who won the tournament in 2006.
Analysts pointed out that despite making a few mistakes in the last couple of tournaments, Recari looks set to move ahead. They said that she may not find it easy to beat big names, but she is determined to prove her mettle on the LPGA Tour.
Her performance in the last tournament, held at Kohler, was stunning. She cheered her fans in the first round, as she posted a 70 and tied for the fourth spot on the leaderboard.
However, in the next three rounds, she lost her momentum and tumbled to a lower position. She registered an overall 298 to tie for the 35th position on the leaderboard.
Speaking to the media during the US Women’s Open 2012, the Spanish star said that she is pretty confident, and will try to do her best in the upcoming tournaments as well.
She shared her thoughts about her first-round performance, saying she kept her cool on most of the holes and did fine.
“I feel great.  Especially because I played very smart out there.  I gave myself chances.  And the most important part is that I didn't run into trouble. I had a great up-and-down in the first.  After that -- that was a little bit more of an adventure hole, my very first hole,” Recari said.
