Beau Duke likely to win the 32Red.com Median Auction Maiden Stakes

Beau Duke has been rated as the favourite to win the 32Red.com Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Kempton in England on Monday, March 19, 2012. The winner of the class-5 event will walk away with a cash prize of £2,264.
A total of six runners will be seen in action over the 1 mile 2 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 3:20 GMT. Following are the names of the confirmed entries: Cockney Sparrow, Beau Duke, Plus Fours, Red Shuttle, Santadelacruze and Minstrel Lad.
Out of the above mentioned runners, Beau Duke has been given the best odds for victory. He has taken part in just three events, but has shown improvement every time he went onto the track.
Andrew Balding’s trainee made his debut last year, but was unable to deliver a string result in his first outing, as he finished eighth. However, he learnt from his mistakes and ended up fifth in his second race.
In his most recent outing, the three-year-old gelding managed to challenge the front runners and secured the runner up spot. He will be full of confidence today and the punters will also be expecting him to win, thus they will place the maximum number of
bets in his favour.
Beau Duke will be partnered by seasoned rider, David Probert, who has been impressive at this level. However, he needs to work on improving his strike rate, which is on the lower side.
Another runner, who has chances of winning the race today, is Red Shuttle. He has taken part in four races and has been impressive in them. He was a touch nervous in his first ever outing, but improved from then onwards, securing a couple of runner up spots
and one third place finish.
The five-year-old gelding has the tools to deliver a strong result, thus the bettors will be encouraged to place more bets on him. Noel Quinlan’s trainee will be partnered by Adam Kirby, who has enjoyed plenty of success in the sport and will be looking
forward to another solid show today.
Other than the top two favourites, Cockney Sparrow will also be the one to watch out for, as he looks in good shape. He has taken part in just one race, finishing third in it.
The rest of the participants will find it difficult to win, but they still have a chance of causing an upset.
