Beau Fighter to knock out opposition at Plumpton
After a great weekend’s jump meeting at Cheltenham which resulted in the Paddy Power Gold Cup being won by Nigel Twiston-Davies’ Little Josh, today, it’s back to the daily grind with racing from Plumpton.
Beau Fighter will hopefully put up more fight than Audley Harrison did against David Haye on the weekend. Running in the Starsportsbet.Co.Uk Novices' Hurdle Beau Fighter should have just enough to beat the field after the gelding showed promise in his previous starts.
He’s finished third twice in three starts over hurdles both coming on ground with some cut in it. He failed to finish last time out but has had a run on the flat so should be in good racing shape. If he jumps well the five-year-old should be too classy for this field.
Bouggler could be the one to beat on his chase debut if his hurdle form is anything to go by. He’s rated 148 over the smaller jumps and he’s been practicing his jumps over fences at home. He’s been successful at grade two level and if that translates to steeplechasing it should result in a win.
Abey M’Boy looks to have the edge in the Straight Forward Racing Handicap Chase after winning at Uttoxeter last time out. He jumped well in the mud and looked to be in control for most of the race jumping well most of the way round.
He looks to have more to give today and with the handicapper not punishing him for that win, he looks like the selection here.
