OMG! Please help me!

BISD won't let me go to Marshall because I don't live in the school zone. They are making me go to Austin Midle School and I REALLY don't wanna go there. Plus Marshall is probably a lot closer. And it's a better school.

We have tried using my grandmother's address, but they say she has to ADOPT me to enable us to use her address.

Please help me, How can I go to Marshall? Is there anyway at all?

Adults, please answer?

Thanks, FrappaCheers to you!

  1. The Beaumont Independent School District is "supposed" to be a district of choice. Yet, they repeatedly refuse to allow transfers. They recently had to eliminate the use of race as a factor in determining where students are allowed to attend but they are simply playing a game of smoke and mirrors. Feel free to have your parents contact me at my office and I will be glad to look into the situation for you.

Also, if anyone has information they think might be of interest regarding BISD let me know. There is no information  that is too insignificant regarding the district. I am constantly chasing leads concerning BISD

  2. I knoow you probably dont think this is good but the schools are zoned for a reason so they dont get over crowded, do u wanna go to this school cause ur friends are there or because its a better school. If its for ur friends i wouldnt worry cause u'll make more and if its cause u actually care about ur education and feel this school would truly benifit ur education, get ur grandma to adopt u then in a few yrs u'll be an adult anyways and can do what you want, you can still live with ur parents just have ur address at ur grandparents and her as ur legal gardian so what good luck anyways hope everything works out

  3. Does it honestly matter what middle school you go to unless there is severe bullying going on in one of them? If there is I would contact the school board, parents, and police.

  4. try correspondence school or write to the department of education and make a formal complaint this always works
