Beautiful Sound might not feature in the Ladbrokes Irish National – Horse Racing News
It has recently been reported that the champion race-horse Beautiful Sound might not be contending the Ladbrokes Irish National meeting that has been scheduled to take place this Monday at the Fairyhouse race-course.
The final forfeit stage for the big race took place on Wednesday. There were a total of 51 acceptors for the race, as the position of Beautiful Sound has been reported to be 32nd. The nine year old race-horse trains under the care of the famed
trainer Gordon Elliott, who announced after the forfeit stage that the race-horse might not be a contender for the Irish National.
The final declarations for the significant meeting will be made on Friday when a field of 25 runners will be chosen for competition. It is not yet certain whether or not Beautiful Sound will be one of these 25 runners. The main issue with Beautiful Sound
has to do with the weights.
When the trainer of the race-horse was approached by the correspondents regarding the selection of Beautiful Sound for the Irish National, he was reported as saying, “We were sixty fourth in the list when the weights came out, so we’re getting closer. But
we’re not there yet. Beautiful Sound is in good nick and we want to run him. Hopefully a few more will come out on Friday to make it possible.”
The weights are headed by the champion race-horse Synchronised. According to the reports, he will be heading forward for the Irish meeting with a weight of 11st and 8lb. The aforementioned race-horse is one of the eight competitors chosen by JP McManus.
The second in the weights is the trainee of the champion trainer David Pipe, Or Noir De Somoza, who will be carrying a weight of 11st and 5lb.
National meetings are considered to be the most prestigious racing events, as they are enjoyed by the fans of the sport and all those involved in the business of horse-racing. These races are very popular and famous for featuring some of the top race-horses
from around the country.
