Beauty pageant, I am clueless....?

Question

my aunt entered me in the Miss Wisconsin beauty pageant... I just said yes, thinking that I would never get in... I sent in my picture, then they called me, and I answered a few question, and next thing u know... I was selected to be in the beauty pageant!!!

now I am super nervous! I have never been in one before! What should I do?? Is there any where I can get a coach or something??? I AM SOOO LOST!!!!

First of all, I think it would be a good idea for you to watch and maybe even record the Miss Universe pageant that is ON RIGHT NOW!!!.  This way, you can start to study what these women look like, how they walk, what they wear, etc.  

You probably do need a coach.  I would google pageant coach in your area and see what you can find, I bet there has to be someone you can get in touch with who would help guide you in the right steps.

Many pageants offer training seminars or workshops for free prior to the pageant. These workshops teach about everything from make up to walking to interview skills. Also, watch as many pageants as you can. Bring a notebook and record your thoughts about what you liked and what you didn't like. Even the pageants outside of your system can be helpful. Look at youtube clips. If you are doing Miss Wisconsin USA, there are TONS of clips from the Miss USA pageants. Also, e-mail or call the people in charge of your pageant. If you really want the extra help, they know where to find it. Every year they refine Miss Wisconsin and train her for the national competition.

Most of all though, be yourself. That's what will captivate the judges. Make sure that you let your personality shine through. With all of your wardrobe choices, go for what makes you feel the best and most confident. That's what makes a girl gorgeous.
