Became new customer to comcast-got the bundle package, internet,phone,cable. Voice overlay modem to accomodate internet and phone lines. Did not use their wireless router-using exsiting router D-Link model DI-624 airplus xtreme wireless broadband router. I unplugged internet cable and plugged into our router ,thecable from the comcast modem, and took the connecting cable to transmit between the router and modem. Tried to connect to internet-nothing. The routers light are lit for m1 and wlan. I also have 2 additional computers that were connected wireless prior to comcast and 2 laptops. All the computers recognize the new connection nbut re unable to connect internet. I received a C:prompt in my start drop down and I typed in ipconfig /renew and it gave me connection specific for comcast, ip address,subnet mask and default gateway.Unable to figure out why I can't get connected, I placed cables back into original places. Right now I have internet access only directly from nain computer where comcast set it up. Please help I do not want to have to give comcast another cent to rent a router
