Because I have AD/HD, I really struggle with meditation, any suggestions?

It's a hobby I am really interested in starting. Any tips to keep me focused?

    Meditation can be broken down into smaller aspects, such as posture, physical relaxation, breath, so you can focus on just one thing.

    Meditation will build your concentration so start with 3 - 5 mins of meditation & build up slowly.

    Guided meditation may also help as you are taken along a recorded journey, which gives the mind something to do.

  2. You can try to:

    Lay on your bed and close your eyes; pretend you're on a cloud

    Sit in a quiet place in nature (water or park) and observe the view

    Breathe slowly and deeply

    Stretch your muscles

    Try yoga, it's wonderful

    Minimize sound input from tv & other electronic sources

    Put a favorite hard candy in your mouth and close your eyes and taste it until it's gone - that will focus your attention
