Do some research into work experience, as it is unpaid it gives employers free labour, these job would likely go to young people if employers were not getting it free. I know that work experience helps a student to acquire a job but reduces the number available

Everyone (locals newspapers and news) moans about youths not having saturday jobs or work to keep them off the streets. However, when you go and look for a job most places either have no jobs going or you're not old enough to do the hours in which they want you to do. Whatever happens youths can't seem to win no matter what they do.
