Because of rising gas prices how long befor America goes into total collapse?

It's bound to happen but when , when will America like every great civilization in the past go into total collapse?

Since we have moved from producers to consumers it will be more of a rude awakening than a collapse. We might have to actually stop buing all this cr@p from China soon.

h**l, gasoline will have to rise to at least ten bucks a gallon before total collapse - but we're well into a serious recession already, and it's gonna get worse before it gets better.  Thank the fascists running our country for that...

we'll all eventually start using bicycles, so the gas thing won't really be a factor.  The recession is something we should be worrying about.
