What do you think of him. Here praises and critics. Again be objective, no long or narrative stories. Actually my weak point is I am lazy to read long elaborated stories.

We will only really see his contribution when he is not in office.

Thats how it works with presidents everyone looks for the bad while they are around but the moment he goes history bares it all the good and the bad.

I think he is gettin a lot of unjust stick lately though.

People say he must go and he has lest then a year left which does not make sense.

The biggest problem with him is that he is not a "normal" president i.e talk too much, kissing babies and dancing on stages type of a president hence the media is struggling to really engage with him he gives them nothing.

For me he is a good President.

The struggle was forght on many levels, underground, internationally and military.

And Mbeki was sent to exile by the ANC so he can be president.

Oh and Cakes is not really South African take her comments with a pinch of salt she only relies on TV and the people in this forum for information she does not have all sides of the story.

He is out of touch with the country that he is ruling

It seems like he doesnt consult his party members in anything he does any more.

He shows racism towards the white people due to his own past and doesnt seems to able to move on.

A good leader will learn from the past but will move foward and not be stuck in the past.

His time was over the day he became president

I think that he sucks as a leader because he's not visible enough to his public. He's an educated man but seems aloof and detached looking at how he carries himself. He is unemotional almost as if he associates emotions with weakness.

Very weird man indeed. He would operate much better if he was running a monarch and he had a charming PM which is why Zuma is flourishing "under" him. He is essentially an emotional cripple who often speaks when he should rather be listening.

He might have been a great person (?) in the struggle, but he sucks as a leader of a developing nation.  He is not visible in public, only his silence (diplomacy).  South Africa needs a doer and a go-getter, not a tata who sits on his stoep smoking his pipe!

On reflection, if only the ANC HAD some Neanderthal roots, perhaps they would be a better choice.
