Former German international Franz Beckenbauer has tipped Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp to become the next national team coach.
The former Bayern Munich legend has hailed Klopp for his amazing achievements with Borussia Dortmund and has admitted that he could be the successor to Joachim Low to take over the reign of the national side.
Klopp has guided the Borussians to the Bundesliga title last year and has already started the season brilliantly. The team is currently sitting in second place and has accumulated 31 points from the 16 games played. The manager
has garnered a lot of praise after his triumphant campaign last year and has been the target of many clubs in the past few months.
Beckenbauer claimed that Jurgen Klopp has a great chance of becoming a future manager of the national team. He admitted that Joachim Low is doing a terrific job for the country currently but admitted that if Die Mannschaft considers
options in the coming years, Klopp will surely be a contender.
The former Bavarian was unsure whether current manager Jupp Heynckes will stay at the club for a long-term. He admitted that Klopp would be a great influence at Allianz Arena if Heynckes does not continue after his contract with
the club. The legend claimed that the DFB has the list of candidates in mind and Die Borussen manager is surely in that list and there are many young tacticians amongst the candidates.
