Beckfield Point in for the seasonal victory in the Prestige Heritage Maiden Stakes at Lingfield
The Class 5 Prestige Heritage Maiden Stakes are to be held at Lingfield over seven furlongs on Wednesday, 28th March. Competing for the purse that is worth £2, 386 are Anaconda, Beckfield Point, Cryptic Choice, Morocco and Tatty.
The most promising entry on the lineup is Beckfield Point, Shirocco’s three-year-old bay colt out of mare Platinum Princess, as his most recent race was at Lingfield itself.
Even though Beckfield Point’s seasonal debut did not translate into a victory, he did get exposed to the race course as even he had not raced at Lingfield before. He finished eighth on the lineup of nine in the Compare Free Bets With Freebetting.Co.UK Maiden
Stakes on 16th March.
The race was won by Margate who took command of the final 2 3/4 lengths of the track distance and had Imtithal scoring the second position. Settling in the third slot was Estedaama.
Besides enjoying the edge of racing at Lingfield already, Beckfield Point also is the only one on the lineup with who has raced during the new season as the rest are in for their very first outings of the season.
Rather there are two, Morocco and Tatty, who will be racing their career debuts. They can be complete surprises not only for the others racing but also for their connections. Their potential remains to be judged and then put to test yet another time.
Another note worthy entry is Anaconda, Anabaa’s three-year-old bay colt out of mare Porretta, who is yet to race outside France and today is his chance. Both the races that he took part in were at Deauville.
Anaconda was third in the Prix De Tancarville (Maiden) (Unraced 2YO Colts & Geldings) (Turf) on 2nd August at Deauville over six furlongs. Sofast was the winner of the race while the 9/10 favourite, Abtaal, qualified as the runner up.
The outcome of the race is bound to be truly surprising with two who have not raced, two who have not raced since 2011 and just one who has tested his skills during the new season.
Those racing their debuts would be in for posting victories and the one who has already raced would want to improve through the second start of the season.
