Beckham wants to play in Europe again
Former England captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 has expressed his desire to play in Europe. Beckham is hoping to strike a loan deal with a European club, in order to keep his chances of playing for England alive. The current LA Galaxy midfielder has not played for
his national side since before the World Cup.
Beckham will not be joining Italian giants AC Milan, a club where he has already spent 2 loan terms. He said,
“I won't be going back to AC Milan this time because it's not possible to go onto the roster for such a short length of time. But I will be going back somewhere as I want to keep myself fit and keep myself in with a chance of getting called up
for England again.”
Beckham has also ruled out a comeback into the English league, stating he cannot imagine playing against Manchester United in the Premier League.
“Maybe one day I will come back here but I have always said that it will only be for Manchester United.”
Earlier this year, in August, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello gave a statement which seemingly put an end to Beckham’s international career. He said,
“I say thank you very much for helping me at the World Cup but probably he is a little bit old.” However, a few weeks later, the Italian took a U-turn and stated,
"First Beckham has to be playing again but the door is always open. We're monitoring all the players. Once he recovers and is in really good condition, we will have a chat.”
Beckham, now 35 years old, missed the 2010 world cup after picking an Achilles injury while playing for AC Milan. Due to his influential capabilities, he was allowed to accompany the team to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/South-Africa-c757, as part of Capello’s coaching staff.
With 115 caps to his name, Beckham is the most capped outfield player for England. Goalkeeper Peter Shilton holds the overall record, with 125 appearances in an English outfit.
We will have to wait and see if Beckham will play a competitive match for his national side again. He, however, will surely be given a chance to play a farewell match, when the day comes, to mark an end to one of the most illustrious football playing careers.
