is graphic design a good career is it fun do you get payed good amount of money what does it take ....?????

It is fun if you enjoy staying up with tech. It's a good career if you can find a way to make work in a very crowded market. Sadly, because the market is crowded, it does not really pay well unles you get corporate work, and corporate work goes to industry insiders.

What it takes: basic graphic skills: drawing and rendering are important for making work-ups. Knowledge of printing technology, color separation, color theory in general. Skill with typography and layout, knowledge of

a raft of programs (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, InDesign, Quark (but not so much these days) understanding of traditional and digital photography, some basic knowledge of 3-D helps, also video

and audio since so much work now is multi-media.
