I had an idea to teach guitar to earn a little extra cash. I am 12 and I will probably be teaching two kids that are complete beginners. Is there any ideas out there or words of advice from someone, please help. I will give a best answer. Oh, by the way, i have been playing for 4 years now and i continue to take lessons.

  1. Just  teach the kids what you know and make it fun for them.  Teach them songs that they want to learn, and start with the basics.  My husband is an experienced guitar player and teaches lessons on the side for extra cash, and because he enjoys doing it.  Have patience, and know that these kids may not pick up on the guitar skills as fast as you would like them to.  Just have fun with it.  Plus it's good experience for you and while you are teaching them, you will be teaching yourself!

  2. You could offer your services on craigslist.   Maybe $10 per lesson...I bet you could make some good money!  Have people come to your house and do it in your living room, as long as your parents are there to make sure things are okay....

  3. well thats actually good for playing for 4 years if your teaching kids your age or yunger then u will be a great teacher but i suggest to do kids your age or yunger also just try your best and dont give up
