  2. i will not go into all but to fly jet its 600 a hour ..i dont know how many hours to gain proficencey.. a jet unlike prop you cant slow the engine down.. you have to employ spoilers and devices to slow you or make a decent.. also a commercial license is to fly for hire.. to do what you are asking requires a air transport licence.. need 3 thousand hours and pass a exam ok.. pilots make 80to 120 k a year.. but you have to have experience and be qualified also you need to be instrument rated.. a minimum of six thousand for the training. and the test is hard.. ok.

  3. The US and UK have similar regulations so I will give you the requirements in the US.

    1. Minimum requirements to operate the aircraft you are describing are Commercial Pilot with multi-engine instrument rating.

    2. Cost of this rating currently in the US runs between $45,000 to about $70,000 depending upon where you obtain training. You can convert to pounds.

    3. First officer pay is pretty bad to start; about $25,000 a year or so.

Depending upon your employer, you might also have to build up some time prior to being hired as a first officer. Most new commercial pilots do this by becoming flight instructors. You could get a job with a smaller regional airline possibly with just the basic ratings and about 500 total hours of time. Then you could move on to flying corporate jets after obtaining more hours.
