Becoming a Junior Tennis Player?????????

Question

I started to do some tournaments, i was wondering how to get my ranked nationally. What level of tournaments do i do, i just started to do Level 1, i am doing well in them. I live in New York, and how would i get recognized by scouts and sponsors?

A friend of mine in NY who has a son applied for a national player representing his state in competition.

He was not successful though for he lost in the MItsubishi World Junior Tennis Championships last year where Andy Roddick & Leyton Hewitt were champs before they became professionals.

Ya might as well sign up at the Mitsubishi sponsored annual competition.

you should het yourself noticed when you win points chest pump or do something to get recognized. Become the fan favorite. Agencies will recognize you and will probably work out a deal. That's how my friend got his break. Now he's ranked in the top 200. Good Luck!

hmmm?? what r u talking about? ur not doing level 1 tournaments. those are the super nationals like kalamazoo and those. you would not be in those unless u r ranked say top 300 in the country. to get ranked nationally u have to play tournaments that count toward ur national ranking...duh. usta.com will help explain which count

also u will not get recognized by scouts or sponsors, your not pro. to get a sponsorship u have to apply for them. im fully sponsored by prince but to get that u have to get top 25 in the country so thats about where u need to be to get sponsorship from any company. i hate it tho, go with wilson. usually to apply just go to the company website and u will find a page to apply.
