Becoming a Vet? Schooling advice!?

I want to become a veterinarian, i want to go to North Carolina State @ Raleigh too. Theres a vet school down there but do i have to go to a regular college first and learn science and math and stuff for 4 years, thennnn go to a college specifically for veterinary practaice for x amount of years? help me with my education please

  1. Yes, you have to get a four-year degree before you can go to vet school. That'll take four years and you'll have to take math and science courses first...

    If you live in America, then to become a veterinarian, you will need to do 4 years of college, and then another 4 years in veterinary school and then pass a veterinary medical board examination before you qualify. There are also requirements for you to take state board examinations if you are planning to practice in another state aside from the one you took your board examination in.
