Becoming a child psychotherapists?

Im taking a childcare course to become a nursery nurse, But in the future i would like to become a child psychotherapists. By becoming a qualified nursery nurse will that help me to become a child psychotherapists or will it make no diffrence. I no that i will have to take courses to become one but i was just wondering that will my qualifications help me at all.

  1. i don't think being qualified as a nursery nurse will make any difference apart from it helping you to get along with children better

I think it will looked good on your profile...you've got practical experience of different children and in the role of being a nursery nurse you have to kind of deal with child psycho through knowledge of the child development, the norms and values and you'll learn about child background. This can all be used alongside the psychology training which i think will make you stronger.
