I don't really know how to go about even looking any information about this. I currently reside in Washington state and may possibly be moving back home to San Diego, California. I was reading on a previous answer that some places require a BA but I would like to know what I should look up. I don't care what it takes, I'm really passionate about dance and although it has been 4 years since I have taken any classes I am open to every kind and would love to learn more and teach it. So if you can help me thank you it is greatly appreciated. I'm 18 and I graduated high school last year if that helps any.

  1. Well you could go to college and get a degree in education, then get a teaching job somewhere thats looking for a pom coach

  2. This would be a very specialized course in a public school and with budget cuts everywhere - your  chances of landing one of the very few jobs is just about nil.    You can teach dance in a studio - but you won't make much money.

You should probably get a teaching certificate and offer dance as an after-school activity or to go along with the cheerleading coaching or something along that line.   But to teach dance - the days of "Fame" are about over,  sorry to say.
