  1. The formal name of a fertility doctor is a reproductive endocronologist (RE).   It basically means that you are focusing in on the role hormones play into reproduction, and how to maximize a woman's opportunity for pregnancy.  The RE obviously goes through pre-med for an initial bachelor's degree, then medical school.  You will want to focus in on not only gynecology, but also reproduction + endocronology.  That's the hormone part-but it is not just female parts either.  You'll have to learn a lot about the male's sperm.  You're looking at a solid 8-10 years of formal school plus passing all of the required exams to become board certified in your state.

Best of luck to you  in the future!
