  1. I don't know how you become a lobbies but I do know of a good movie about lobbyists showing how sleazy they are its name is " Thank you for smoking"

  2. collage? 5 tears

  3. Living in the Washington DC area I am surrounded by lobbyist on a daily basis, to answer your question, there is no direct classes to take to enter this field a lot of them are actually lawyers who work for one corporation or another and there job is to vigorously petition our lawmakers to vote with whatever that corperate agenda may be, that could mean through indirect financial support, free trips along with other favors, it's sleazy and wrong and you should seek out ex lobbyist and speak with them about how to sell your soul

  4. Most lobbyists have educational and professional backgrounds in politics, journalism or the fields that they represent (Alex Anytime is correct also--many lobbyist are attorneys). Which means a degree in most areas would be acceptable as long as the lobbyist has a great deal of knowledge pertaining to subject/area  in which he/she lobbies. Often, lobbyist have started their careers in public relations. This allows them to gain/build good communication and representational skills. These skills will help convince the group(s) the lobbyist is seeking to represent that he/she understands how to communicate with lawmakers.

Getting  to know local congressional members is a good idea. Especially those involved in the area in which the lobbyist seeks to work. The chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, for example.
