Becoming a professor?

Question

I am a high school senior and am considering pursuing a career as a college professor. Is this a realistic career aspiration??

It is if you are willing to get a PHd.  You can sometimes get an associate professor job or a teaching job at a community college with just a masters degree but if you really want to be a professor you should get a PHd in whatever field you are thinking of. That is a lot of years of schooling, but if you are willing to do it it is a good job.
