how does one go about becoming a real estate agent in WA? Also, what are some of the skills a real estate agent needs?

You may want to call around or visit a couple of RE brokers websites and look for a "careers" link. They will often have open houses for prospective agents where you can go and learn more about a career in real estate to find out if it is right for you.

One local brokerage even had a personality test that rated you as far as your fit for real estate.
