Question:

Becoming a teacher in New Jersey?

I graduated 2 years ago with a B.A. in communication and have been working in Finance. I've decided I'd like to become a teacher, but in NJ it is very competitive. I only have a 2.3 gpa and in NJ you must have at least a 2.75. If I get a Master's in education and meet the GPA requirement I'll be able to teach. Only problem is I'm not able to get into any of the local Grad School programs, so I was thinking to do it online, thoughts??

  1. You might be able to do it online, but you really need to be careful... you need to be sure the accreditation of the online school is acceptable by your state.  Many of these online services are NOT acceptable.  Just because it's accredited does not mean the state has to accept that accreditation.  Perhaps your state has a list of accredited online schools it accepts?  First place I'd inquire would be the New Jersey State Board of Education.  Good luck.

  2. you bet yeh.....,try it on online
