  1. the first thing to do is contact the dsa and ask them to post you out an adi 14 the road to becoming a driving instructor it is packed full of tips and do's and dont's think long and hard about this before you commit to anything training can cost anything up to £4000 so make sure you pick a good training college they should be ordit registered  (official register of driving instructor trainers)  ask to see their registration if they cant or are not dont touch them with a barge pole it can be a very long and arduous task becoming an adi you will need to dedicate lots of time to study and driving practise before being accepted as a pdi (potential driving instructor) you may have to attend a local interview and also undergo a crb check you must also be over the age of 21 and have held and still hold a current full uk .licence for more than 3 years and have less than 5 penalty points on it too hope this helps good luck

  2. Theres loads of stuff here about becomming a driving instructor - my dad has been one for years and always consults to the DSA (Driving Standards Angency) http://www.dsa.gov.uk/Instructors.asp
