How do I, a Canadian, become a U.S. citizen as quickly as possible?

  1. You are already an  American. Webster define an  American as a person born in the American Continent. If you want to be a U.S Citizen then is not such thing as a quick way for a person to become a US Citizen. Be prepare to spend a lot time and money with the  paperwork , hey!

  2. First you have to become US Permanent Resident. After 5 years, or 3 years if you obtained your green card through marriage to US Citizen, then you are eligible to apply for Citizenship.

  6. You cannot become a U.S. citizen unless someone petitions on your behalf or you claim asylum or refugee status in the U.S. Since you live in Canada your claim more than likely would be denied. A petitioer would be a spouse, fiance, family member or employer. So unless you have one of those you cannot expedite becoming american.
