Becoming an Army Officer?

Is it possible to get a direct commission into the Army if I'm not a lawyer or a doctor? I would like to be an AG officer, but can not go to OCS due to partial color blindness. I can't distinguish red from green.

  1. The color blind part may not be an issue.  They may grant you a waiver for that.  You need a college degree to become an officer.  You might consider exploring the rotc route.

    Good Luck.

  2. Yes people become officers on a daily basis and they are not a lawyer, nor a doctor. However, they did graduate from a four year college. You cannot expect to graduate HS and become an officer.

Also, it is possible to join enlisted and work your way up to an officer position.
