Becoming an olympic rower

how much training do you need to become a rower and for how long? in this olymics one person has only done two years of training, i am already in weight training ad i love to swim and jog for endurance, what age do people start it?

  1. get yourself to your local Amateur Rowing Club... then become a member and tell your ambitions to them, i take it you've rowed or sculled before? as its sometimes not the strength you posses out of the boat as its quite difficult(at first) to get used to balancing, but once you've got that covered, you'll be fine. also you can join the ARA (Amateur Rowing Association), you should find alot of info online, and even maybe try a uni near you that has a rowing team.   good luck x
