Becoming snooker referee?

Question

Could somebody tell mu what to do when i want to become a snooker referee?where exactly should i study that?does somebody know if i have to be player first?do you have any links to application forms?what is the most prestigeous place to study that?any other important or less important materials?please write as much as you can...i am a woman so is it harder for me to get that job?any external links would be great :-)

Guessing your in the UK i would be unsure as to where but check the BCA web site for info on becoming a ref
