A friend and i are cycling from Newcastle upon Tyne to all five capital cities of the UK and Ireland.

Leaving on June 2nd.

We head for London then Cardiff, followed by Dublin and Belfast, before heading to Edinburgh for the final capital.

We are trying to raise 5000 pounds for Cancer Research UK.

Along the way we will be staying in B&Bs and pub inns and a few youth hostels, as well as camping out as and when the weather permits.

If you own a nice comfortable b&b etc, let us know and if we head towards your place we may stay there.

  1. A very good cause, and good on you for coming up with the idea.

If you're traveling to Ireland from Swansea, I wouldn't advise on you staying in a B&B in Swansea. All the small B&Bs are really dodgy.

If you're staying in Swansea pay the extra £10 and just go to a Holiday Inn/ Travel Inn etc.

Any hotels by the seafront on Oystermouth road, avoid them like the plague! Because they probably have the plage!

  2. If you are going from Cardiff to Ireland (or the other way around) i would recomend staying tah the Ty Newydd Country inn at Hirwaun on the edge of the Brecon Beacons.

Its a lovely place and Eddie the owner would support you loads i am sure.

Just tell him that the guys at Tantrwm told you about the place.

    Take a look at http://www.realvalleysmedia.co.uk/tynewy...

There is a clip showing the place, and a link to their site.

    Bets of luck

    Andrew
