We're moving out of the country until next summer. Is it recommended that the beds be left with clean linen already made up or would you take everything off and leave just the mattress bare?

  1. I prefer to keep all linens off, I also sprinkle the top of the mattress with arm and hammor deoderizer, it will help keep the musty smell from happening. Good Luck.

  2. Letting them bare is a better option if you don't want that stale smell. I have a cottage in the the mountains, and we've tried it both ways, and prefer to let them bare for that reason. Also,we store them high off the ground,or in sealed bags for freshness! Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I'd put a good mattress pad on the mattress and leave the other linens off.  Replace the pad with a clean one when you return and make up the beds.

The mattress pad helps keep the dust off the mattress surface.
