  1. I have 2 children age 9 and 14...my 9 year old son goes to bed at 8:00 p.m but doesn't usually fall asleep until 8:30 p.m.

My 14 year old goes to bed at 9:00 p.m.

Both children have to get up at 7:00 a.m. to get ready for school.

  2. My 10yr old goes to bed at 9, but gets up at 5:30AM

Kids need 8hrs, if she is getting up, or complaining about not being able to sleep as my son did for a while, adjust the time to later

  3. 8pm sometimes even 7pm for my daughter because she has a really hard time getting up and getting dressed if she goes any later.  i would say try diff bed times for a week each and see which one will work better for her.

  4. 9 o'clock

  5. I'd have her in bed by 8:00, 9:00 at the latest.

  6. My 10 yr old son gets up at 7:00 also and he goes to sleep at 9:00pm but he actually gets into bed by 8:30 and then reads in bed until 9:00. That gives him 10 hours of sleep.

these links will show that kids this age need 10 hours of sleep. Some people here have suggested 8 hours, that is NOT enough for a child this age.

  7. If you do some sleep research or a Google search on this subject you'll discover that younger children actually need MORE sleep than adults. This is due to the body's need for energy "re-charging" allowing for normal growth. Most peditricians will agree that the MINIMUM a child THAT age should be getting is around 9-10 hours. Keep in mind that she might be the type to get up during the night for a drink or to use the toilet. These disruptions in the REM sleep pattern (deepest sleep state) aren't helpful either, but 10 hours should allow her enough time to return to that REM state.

  8. Usually kids from 8-12 should sleep between 10-11 pm. But a lot of people forget the stress at an early age like 10 or 11. They have a lot of projects and homeworks they don't understand. They are already exhausted from it and still have problems with heir social life like bullies in school and you have to pay attention to their friends (NOT THE "YOU WILL GO TO THEIR SCHOOL JUST FOR THEIR SAFETY BUT YOU ARE ACTUALLY EMBARRASSING THEM" kind of attention). But when she invites her friends over, kind of "spy" on their friends if they are doing something to hurt her (Sorry if your kid is a him). So I recommend you about 9 or 10 or earlier. You can help her(but not tell) with her school works so she can have enough sleep time.

Hope this answers your question ^_^.

  9. try to get her at least eight to ten hours of sleep

  10. 10 year olds need 9-11 hours of sleep; so I would say have her be in her bed by 8:30-9:00pm, allow her 30 mins of reading and lights out by 9:30pm.

  11. im 10 and go to bed 10:00,10:30,11:00

  12. 9 or 9:30pm

  13. No later than 9pm.

  14. ready for bed by 8 lights out by 8:30
