  1. around 10...depends on the kid though, i would think

  2. A 13 year old should be going to bed no later than 10PM on school nights. Although they are older, teenagers still need 8 to 9 hours sleep a night to stay focused and refreshed during the day. Even on they weekend they should be going to bed no later than Midnight, that way they are able to get up and do their chores and have it out the way with the weekend days to do what ever.

  3. Depends - when do they have to get up for school in the morning?

Most teenagers require 8-10 hours of sleep at night.

Adults require 7-9 hours of sleep.

  13. Any child should be going to bed at whatever time they need to go, which allows them to get up in plenty of time to eat, shower, dress before school the next morning.

If the child has to be up by 6:45, then bedtime is whatever time is necessary for them to get up by themselves at that time.

I'm not big on set bedtimes, but when one of our kids had to be up at 8:00, but didn't wake up until 10:00 and missed his bus, I said that whatever time he was going to bed was obviously two hours later than it should be.  Problem solved!

  14. Early enough for the 13 year old to be able to get out of bed and get ready for school on time.
