  1. The rocks north of the Adironaks is sedimentary sandstone, dolostone of the cambrium era about 500 million years old.

    The rock along the Lake Ontario shore is sandstone and Limetone from the Silurian era about 425 millioln years old.

    The bedrock east of the Hudson river is slates, shicst, quatzites, which are all metamorphic,  Orodovician and cambrian 430 to  525 million years old.

    The husdon mohawk is limstone, sanstone and shale from the Devonian and Ordovican eras 400 to 375 million years old.
