Question:

Bedroom Makeover Ideas?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

I am a teenager and i really need some new bedroom ideas.

My room is quite large ( rectangle ) but its also the family office aswell.

The carpet is a light blue , 3 walls light purple / grey and main wall purple / blue. Curtains dark blue.

I am allowed to re-paint my main wall + get a small sofa + get a new dresser / cub board.

I need a theme that will suit the colours of my room.

I like

- tropical

- funky teen ( not to girly )

- modern style

Please give me some pictures or sites that will help !

THANKYOU !

  3. go to HGTV.com rate my space.   Good luck

  4. paint your walls white then put black zebra stripes!!!

  5. Go on ikea. They have some cool ****.

  6. zebra stripes would be so pimp! try to persuade ur parents 2 let ya..... dude, you shuld like totally do that! LOL!

  7. If you're allowed to paint over the purple/blue wall, the colors remaining are purple/gray, correct?  And the light blue carpeting stays.

The key is to tie the existing walls to your new wall and bedding and tie your new wall color and bedding to the "left alone" walls.

Some other people suggested using zebra print as a theme.  That's very do-able!  Consider adding another color to the mix, however, to create a nice color scheme.  What if you added pink and black, for instance?  You could do your bedding in pink zebra and black:

Use some purple and gray pillows on the bed, however, to tie in to the other colors in the room.  Your main wall could be pink.  See if you'd be allowed to paint a 6"-8" black border around the top and bottom of all of the walls (to tie them together and accent them).  With a black bed skirt, it would look really dynamic.

To get the zebra print onto the "left alone" walls, you can get extra pillow cases.  Get some inexpensive (but fairly large) black picture frames.  Cut the pillow cases so a piece of the fabric fits inside the frames.  Hang these on the other walls to tie everything together.

This is just one scenario.  You can use whatever floats your boat!  Even with the zebra print idea, make it more girly by using more blue and adding some green:

Or by adding pink and green:

There are a lot of combinations that would work really well.  Don't be afraid to try anything that inspires you!
