Bedrooms Ideas for wood paneling...?

I have dark wood panels on the wall almost all the way up, I CANT paint over it they are restored and look nice, buttt what color Furniture would go with that. Its dark wood, so im thinking the Light Birch wood from Ikea to brigten it up, or the dark wood and brighten it up with beige accessories?

I vote the Birch wood and beige, brown, and even tan accessories. I also have dark wood floors, cupboards and bought mahogany table and buffet and I feel like there is alot of wood going on in the kitchen. Wish I had the lighter wood. If you floor is light that makes a difference you could get away with darker furniture. Sounds nice!! Good luck!

I had the same problem... the dark paneling was so dismal. I'd never paint it, and I wasn't inclined to sheetrock the whole room.

Instead, I installed a lighter, almost white panelling over the existing dark paneling. Not too cheap, not too expensive, and a whole lot easier... and brighter.
