Question:

Beech Nut Baby Food?

I am just wondering if anyone has fed their babies the "Ham Breakfast" or "Ham Dinner" made by Beech Nut???

I just saw them while picking up some baby food for my daughter, and thought that pork for a baby 6 months and up would hurt their tummies???

Let me know your experiences if your baby has tried these :-)

  1. i have...and my son liked it! the "Ham and Pineapple " dinner n he loved it!!!

  2. I don't think it would be manufactured if it wasn't suitable. But as with all new foods, introduce them slowly and one at a time, so you can better pinpoint anything that upsets your little one's stomach or gives him/her allergies.

  3. If you're referring to the Ham, Pineapple and Rice dinner then yes, we have tried it and my daughter loves the taste of it.  I, like you, was hesitant at first but she was fine when she ate it. The first time I gave it to her, I gave it to her for lunch to see how she would react.  I didn't want to give it to her at night the first time in the event it did upset her tummy in the middle of the night.  She enjoyed it and I still give it to her since she enjoys the taste.

  4. Babies need some type of meat in their diet everyday after 6 months. Protein.

  5. Gerber also makes 'pork' for 6 month old babies; I think it's just grounded so small that the baby gets mostly the flavor, and not the thickness of the food.

I think it's mostly put out there so your baby can get a variety of flavors while they're still young.

I think Gerber starts giving 'pork' as a 'Stage 2' food.
