Been a week since my son been born when will i get off my period?

i been having it for a week i was wondering when will i be off?

It's not your period. You may stop tomorrow or it could last up to 3 or 4 weeks.

After I had my son my doctor told me to expect to bleed for 6-10 weeks.  I ended up getting my period towards the end though, and had to add another week.

I went 2 weeks with heavy bleeding then 2 weeks with light bleeding. After 3 weeks of not bleeding I started my first period after I had my son and it lasted 1 week after that i went back to normal 4 day periods every month. This was the same for all three of my children. I know its no fun but it will go away.

you should be done bleeding in the next 7-10 days. but don't be surprised if you start an actual period a week or two after you stop bleeding.

I BLEED FOR 3 1/2 WEEKS AFTER I HAD MY DAUGHTER AND 2DAYS AFTER I STOPPED I STARTED MY PERIOD.

Exactly what PP said. Its postpartum bleeding and can last 6 weeks, sometimes more sometimes less. But get used to it b/c your going to be having it for a while! Congrats on your baby!!

It's postpartum bleeding.  You should have gotten instructions from your doctor or health care provider that explained how long it may last and what constitutes something to be worried about, check your paper work.

It isn't a period it is postpartum bleeding to clean your system out of the leftovers from having a baby.  Postpartum bleeding can last for upto 6 wks.

i actually had bleeding for about 2 weeks , then spotting after that . no worries . you will see the dr for your 6 week check up so just love your new one and enjoy your babe .  take care
