I've been on a bender so to say for about two months, and I've been hammered about every other day, and some days two days in a row. I've read about delirium tremens were you basically hallucinate and die. do you think this should concern me if i stop drinking for a while?

  1. if you feel weird, just grab a beer

probably just like smoking, wean yourself little by little, of course, this shud be a LOT easier

  2. My dad was a drunk, he drank every single day for 35 years, and now hes diabetic and has scerosis of the liver from drinking. You will have what is called DT's but you should be fine, just eat lots of bread and drink lots of water and itll leave your system.

  3. probably not a good idea to stay drinking, I wouldn't worry about the delirium tremes if you are not feeling anything but drunk so far.....you could be good.

  4. No. You won't get withdrawals. You'll just get bored with the free time you have now that you're not drinking. Find something constructive with your time to combat that.

  5. you dumbass, yes you will probably will get slight withdraws, its better that then feeding your addiction.

  6. You'll probably get the DT's.  Take thiamine supplements (if you detox in the hospital they give you shots of thiamine) and plenty of water.  Though 2 months is unlikely to cause severe withdrawal, it could, and alcohol withdrawal can be fatal so if you're serious about getting sober and you start getting severe symptoms like hallucinations (usually occurs as wavy lines, colors, shadows, etc) you may want to go to a medical facility to detox.

  7. I think what should concern you more is what will happen if you DON'T stop drinking for while. Silly.

  8. Yup! U idiot... u might kill urself!!!

  9. stop drinkinin gradually

  10. You may have minor withdrwals you wont really be able to determine at this point...Continue drinking this way for 6-12 monhts than I would start worrying about more drastic withdrawals.
