Been geting a phone call every day same number,allways at work so it goes on my house phone as a missed call?

yet when i try to ring it back .the tone is like a dead tone like the number doesnt exsist,has anyone got any idea ..its just really bugging me as i have had calls for the last two weeks same number anybody cheers

I have had similar calls on my mobile as missed calls and when I dial to ring back, the numbers don't exist and dead tone,. the no started with 028 11 digits which was o2 and the other was 0192 again 11 digits....but it happened yesterday again and I answered the call and it was someone from o2 trying to sell me a phone contract, I told him I wasn't interested .

I don't know where they got my no from.

Google the number.

It will normally come up.

contact ictis. they hold a data base of problem causing numbers. If it is a company cold calling or a computer dialling your number they will be able to trace it.

I think you are being called by a power dialler, which is a commercial way of calling lots of numbers to sell you things. They didn't used to have call-back numbers, and so the public set up their phones to reject calls from anonymous numbers. To get round it, they gave the diallers a number but being crafty they gave them non direct dial in numbers. I'd ignore it. Somebody in Calcutta probably wants to sell you a fitted kitchen. You can get your number put on to telephone preference service, that should stop it but it takes four weeks.
