This guy and I are 23 years old. We've had our share of painful relationships in the past, but this time, we feel like it's so different. It's incredible. We've been only talking to each other for 3 weeks and we already have a strong connection. I know 3 weeks is short, but the connection we have cannot be explained. It feels like we've known each other for ever. We talk to each other every single day for hours and hours especially b/c it's long distance. We know long distance relationships doesnt work out and there will be a lot of issues involved, but we are aware of this yet we are so willing to try. he told me he's crazy about me, and asks me if i think it's weird since it's been only a short period of time. He tells me he's falling for me and feels like fate brought us together b/c God always has a reason. He says he feels like we're meant to be etc..and hopes I feel the same way and if I don't I should tell him. He says he's going to try to overcome this long distance and will show it through actions. We;re also both students so he said he's going to try his best so he can go to graduate school near me. He said he's never been happier. He tells me not to go away and he promises me he wont ever hurt me.

***** BUT for a couple of days now he seems so distant. We talk during the day on gmail chat during work or school and at end when he goes out with his friends, he doesn't call. i end up calling him so many times and he says he will call me when he gets home but never does. this happened for a couple of days now. and today he usually calls or texts me but hasnt at all..

IT'S BEEN 2 DAYS NOW THAT HE HASNT CALLED OR TEXTED. I DIDNT CALL OR TEXT HIM. SHOULD I CALL HIM UP AND ASK IF EVERYTHING IS OKAY? OR DOES THIS MEAN THAT'S ITS OVER. HOW CAN HE GO FROM TELLING ME HE'S FALLING FOR ME AND LIKES ME ALOT ONE DAY TO NOT CALLING ME AT ALL FOR 2 DAYS NOW??

  1. Getting a little clingy there, aren't you?

That neediness will turn him off faster than a lightening strike.

It's been 3 weeks. Stop calling him all the time.

Both of you are in school and have your degrees and homework to concentrate on.

One mistake people make is spending too much time together.

And then if it appears the other is distant, your mind starts to race that it's ending.

Guys are more quiet and solitude in their thoughts.

Women are more verbal and communicative.

Just give him some time and space to breathe, and you stop acting like a worry wart.

  2. Usually, if a guy stop contacting you it's because he is otherwise engaged. he probably has another g/f

  3. It's only been two days -- although since you have been so close for three weeks these two days probably feel like two months.

Give him another two days and if you haven't heard anything by then, call him.  If he still seems distant, consider the relationship over.  Sorry to sound so harsh, but these things happen -- especially with long distance relationships.

  4. Call him otherwise you'll never know.  He might have lost interest.
