beer pong or beiruit? where im from its the same thing

beiruit is where you set up 10 cups (sometimes 6 sometimes more) in a triangle with beer in them and you shoot a ping pong ball into the opposing teams beer. it alternates back and forth...your team first than the others or vice versa. usually teams of two each player takes a shot. if you make a cup the other team drinks it. the rules vary...some play pull cup which means if you hit the opposite teams cup they take the cup away immediately and drink the beer. if there is no pull cup rule your partner can try and aim for the cup you hit. if they hit it its game over and you win. you can also bounce a ball into a cup and they have to take two cups away. however there are "house rules" so it depends on where you are and who you play with. but thats pretty much the basics of it. shoot the ball into all the other teams cups before they do it to you. the way i told you is how my friends and i all play
