Beetles are dying around my daylight flourecent bulbs.?

I live in georgia. The bulbs are daylight flourecents. Any ideas why they have all of a sudden started dying in such large numbers near them?

  1. They are probably June beetles, a kind of scarab, and are simply attracted to the lights. It's just the end of their life cycle. You didn't kill them.

    Tell em it's July now.
