  1. The Isle of Man

  2. There aren't any island continents. Europe is connected to Asia which is connected to Africa. The Americas are connected to each other.

So before Australia was discovered, there were no island continents.

  3. Australia. It was there even before it was discovered.

  4. Australia was "discovered" by the aboriginal people more than 60,000 years ago.  But it was always the biggest because it was always there.

If you look at a map, you will see that Asia, Europe and Africa are actually one land mass, and it is surrounded by oceans, so it is the biggest island.

  5. Asia. Had been for thousands of years.  Australia only 200 years ago.

  6. There are only two island continents: Australia and Antarctica. Antarctica is the bigger of these two.

Australia was discovered first, then Antarctica. So before Australia was discovered, there were no known island continents. All the other continents are not island continents because they are connected by land to other continents.

But before Australia was discovered, the biggest island continent was actually the same as it is now, Antarctica.

  7. other than Australia there are no island continents.
