Before I reformated my windows XP, I used to access to the c:/system volume information, but can't now

since I reformated my computer, a laptop with windows XP, I don't seem to be able to access to the c:/system volume information, everytime I tried, it was denied. I used to do that before the reformation of windows. What to do to restore the accessibility.

  1. Check if you are logged in with administrator privileges. If you are , how are you trying to access? By going to start>Run>C:\System....?

    Make sure that you have Unchecked "Hide protected system files" in the Tools>Folder Options>View tab.
