  1. As you said, the consider the religious beliefs of people in that country and they also consider the peoples' eating habits. For example in Japan, they use less meat and condiments in their burgers as japanese usually eat less then americans and wouldnt be able to down a reasonable american sized quarter pounder for example. Yeah, thats about it really. Cater to the people if ya know what i mean.

  2. That is a loaded question, my friend.

You can take a Semester-long class to discuss international expansion, and almost everything discussed McDonalds probably considers.

Entry method- partners, wholly-ownerd, franchise, etc.

Religious views- Muslims wont eat pork, Jewish need Kosher food, etc.

Cultural differences - wine in France Mcdonalds

    Population-

    Politics- build in Baghdad?

    Laws- EPA, animal rights, etc.

Exchange rates- may cost more and make less money

Availability of supplies- have to ship across the world?

    taxes, etc.

    There are plenty more.

  3. I think they should explore the tastes of that culture, and also the values of that society. Then they could offer various products to suit the locals tastes. However, they are the monopoly of Mc Donalds and will probably want to push BicMacs on everyone that crosses it's path.
