Question:

Before Running Headaches?

Ok...well i know I've only been running for the past week or so, but I plan to make it a habit and I really enjoy it. The weird thing is though, that in the mornings before I go running I get these headaches (not extremely serious) that only go away by running. I'm not complaining, since it really helps making me run...but what is it? Is it something to do with "runner's high"? (I'm running 15-25 minutes a day).

Additional info: I also drank an iced coffee every day i ran...but I don't think that's what contributes to it. Thanks!

  1. I used to get headaches also. I'm a cross country runner there really isn't much to help them. My doctor said it was caused by all my excitement building up for my next run or race also called runners high so yes that is probably the cause.

hope i could help a little.

  2. What helps me is I drink a 8 fl oz water bottle maybe 30-45 minutes before I run, that all ways helps me.

  3. yes, um what i do is drink from 2-4 glasses of water or it just means your so ecited about running that at nite u dont sleep well.
