Before getting Pap test no s*x?

Question

So I was reading on a site that before u get a pap test done it's not a good idea to have s*x for two days before. I was just wondering if that's true cause I am getting on Thursday so that means tonight is my last night until Thursday right? Or does it matter if I had s*x the day before or not? Please let me know

Having s*x right before (even with a condom) can result in benign abnormal cells therefore eliciting a positive pap and possibly forcing you to get a colposcopy - unpleasant. I'd avoid it. Is it really that hard to keep it in your pants for 2 days? :P

Well I had s*x the night before and it didn't cause any problems...

supposedly it can give abnormal results.  I have never followed this rule and all my pap smears have come back normal.

I wouldn't, if they see anything besides ordinary cervical cells your results will come back as abnormal and you'll have to undergo more tests to make sure it's not cancerous. You wouldn't want to go through all that just because of some... leftover s***n lol.

No s*x.  You will get abnormal results if you do.

It is true.  It can affect the cells that show up.  You don't want to have a pap and have to redo it cuz there were abnormal cells.

well i think usually it's only the 24 hrs before the pap test so weds. all day n all night crossing into thurs u should abstain from s*x... n it is all kinds of s*x... no fingering or oral or real s*x... cus it will mess up the results

It is best not to have s*x 48 hrs before hand. I mean if you do, you do, but to get the best results it's best not to!
